This collection started as an exploration into the contrast between the fluidity of acrylic paint on square objects such as, canvas, but eventually morphed into a study around print combinations and inkblots. I challenged myself to create garment designs that worked with my custom prints instead of altering the prints to fit my original sketches. This led me to create a collection that was more organic and creative.

Each person I met while working on this collection saw different images in my prints, thus inspiring me to learn more about the Rorschach Inkblot Test and even take the test myself. This test is a psychological test in which subjects' perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms, or even both. Some psychologists still use this test to examine a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning today. I urge each of you to look at my designs with this in mind and enjoy the different images you may see in each print.
